Jeff Clemens began his policing career in 1989 with the Toronto Police Service.  Jeff has spent time in   Primary Response, Community Patrol, the Youth Bureau and Public safety Unit. He also spent 8 years at the Emergency Task Force on a Special Weapons Team. While at the ETF, Jeff was a sniper, Rappel Master, and Hostage Crisis Negotiator.

In 2004, Jeff became a member of the Officer Safety Section (Toronto Police College), as a Use of Force Instructor and enjoyed instructing both recruits and senior officers.

In 2008, Jeff was promoted and enjoyed the new challenge of spending time as a Patrol Sergeant. During that same year he graduated from the University of Guelph Humber earning a degree in Justice Studies.

In 2009, Jeff returned to the Toronto Police College as a Supervisor in the Armament Section.

In 2010, Jeff was seconded to the Ontario Police College, teaching both Firearms and Defensive Tactics in the Basic Constable Training program. He found it rewarding to be involved with the cadets at the beginning of their long policing careers.

In 2013, Jeff returned to Toronto as a Patrol Sergeant, enjoying the challenges of policing in an urban environment. Jeff then landed back at the Toronto Police College where he currently works as a Supervisor in the In-Service Training Section, also as a Master CEW Instructor.

Jeff was appointed to the OAPE executive in 2016 and is excited to share his passion for learning with his colleagues and the policing community at large.
