Prior to becoming a coordinator/professor in the Police Foundations Program at Algonquin College, Ottawa, Judy served 13 years with Ottawa Police Service.  Her policing career included a secondment to the Canadian Police College, as an instructor/coordinator of various courses (i.e.  Media Communications, Systems Approach to Training, Design and Delivery, Instructional Techniques and Senior Police Administrator Course).   She also served in the Professional Development Centre of the Ottawa Police Service as an instructor, facilitator and writer of course training standards.  While at Algonquin College, she has also been active in PARE (Physical Ability Readiness Evaluation) testing for the RCMP and Calgary Police Service.  Judy holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo.
