2012 CONFERENCE
The OAPE Executive is pleased to announce that the theme for the 2012 Conference will be Social Networking – “The Good, the Bad and, The Ugly”.
Speakers will include Toronto Police Service Deputy Chief Peter Sloly speaking on consequences of Social Media. OACP/OMRON Crime Prevention Award recipient Sergeant Tim Burrows discusses “Social Media and Public Relations”. Detective Constable Leslie WALDRON from OPP Covert Operations will talk about Facebook and Twitter “How it works - Pros and Cons”. Guns and Gangs will be back with their spin on Social Media. "OPC & OPVTA updates and real life experiences are back by popular demand"
On Wednesday’s mid-morning break we are serving refreshments in the Drill Hall to allow you time to check out the Trade Show.
Getaway Lounge at OPC is sponsoring the Meet and Greet again this year. Most importantly for our Delegates, a wellness component is built in the conference at the end of each day. This is followed by barbecued meals with live music, allowing for great networking opportunities.
The OAPE Executive is proud to deliver another conference that deals with the current issues that face our Police Trainers and Educators. We welcome all the regulars and hope to see many new faces in 2012.
