Chris Niblett began his career with the Nepean Police Service in 1986 which was regionalized into Ottawa Police in 1995. During his career he has worked in Uniform Division, ran a Community Police Centre, was a Coach Officer and was also on the Recruitment Team. In recent years he worked as an Investigator in the Partner Assault Section and, prior to being seconded to the Ontario Police College, worked as a Road Sergeant for 3.5 years. He also began working Part-Time at Algonquin College in Ottawa teaching in the Police Foundation program. There he taught Community Policing as well as Criminal Offences and Federal Statutes. He is a qualified Use of Force Instructor; Facilitating Adult Learning trained and is currently an Instructor in the Defensive Tactics Section at the Ontario Police College. Chris is enjoying his new position as an Instructor, role model and mentor to new recruits who are beginning their careers.
